32 Weeks

So I had my 32 week appointment on Monday. All is well. The baby's heart rate is still sticking in the upper 140's. The baby's head has been up by my ribs and belly button mostly. But HOPEFULLY in a few weeks he/she will turn - head down. I am telling ya, this kid is a rambunctious one! He/she is always moving in there and it's getting to be quite uncomfortable for me! I think he/she inherited my dagger elbows. I always have an elbow, knee or foot jabbing me. I feel like Sigourney Weaver in Alien. It's so strong sometimes swear my belly is going to split in two. It's hard to believe that I have gotten zero stretch marks (knock on wood.) I have always had sympathy for my S-I-L, Shannon, who carried twins, (mono amniotic to make it even more stressful!). But now I can say that she's seriously a hero in my books! I cannot imagine carrying two babies in this belly, let alone the stress of them being in the same sac and all the complications that come with that. I know that all babies are miracles, but my identical twin nieces Ella and Grace are more than that. It's unbelievable that they survived and Shannon is the woman that made it possible. Props to her and all the mothers of multiples!!
On another note, I was going to take some pictures of the nursery, but there's nothing really nothing worth seeing yet. It's just a white room with stripes marked out with painter's tape. This weekend we are finishing the stripes so I will definitely have more to report with new pictures.

Now that is one beautiful belly! Don't you just wish you could somehow bottle that belly and all of its beauty. Seriously, it is one of the most lovely bellies I have ever seen! And thanks for the link love and sweet thoughts on my little twinnies!

Hi Mere,

I wondered over here from Shanny's site and couldn't help but admire your cute little belly. And seriously it is still so little! I am getting so excited for you. What an awesome adventure you are in for. Call me crazy, but the actual birth is my most favorite time! If I could just give birth over and over without being pregnant for 9 months...I totally would!!!! I will keep checking in on you.
