Now that we have the news out to our parents I can finally post it... I am officially pregnant! Saw the doctor on the 25th and it's confirmed. I think I am about 6-7 weeks along (doc didn't tell me) and we have our next appointment on Aug 28th. Hopefully we get the ultrasound then and we can hear the heartbeat. I have been reading my books almost every day trying to gain as much knowledge on this stuff as I possibly can. I am already feeling completely exhausted, nauseous and have some pretty bad headaches. I can only be positive and see it as a good thing that my body is working hard to build this little miracle.
Our House
We purchased our FIRST house ever last June. We live in Sycamore IL. It's so hard to believe that we've already been here a year! We have painted a few rooms - the kitchen, family room, living room, master bedroom and my latest task was the guest room. I don't have any pictures of the guest room yet, but I will take some. I have started my garden and so far this summer it's going great. The yard still needs a TON of work, but little by little we're getting there.
Buford
Buford is our brindle Boxer. At 13 weeks he was diagnosed with Aortic Stenosis. Aortic Stenosis is the narrowing or obstruction of the heart's aortic valve, which prevents it from opening properly and blocks the flow of blood from the left ventricle to the aorta. He was only given 2 years max to live by a veterinary cardiologist. It seems he may outlive that death sentence as he turns two this Aug!! His meds slow his heart rate and he is a normal Boxer. He absolutely loves, LOVES people and attention.
Honeymoon OCT 16 - 27
We honeymooned in Oahu HI. My aunt Boogie has a beautiful house in the town of Kailua which she left so hospitably to us for as long as we wanted. We stayed at her house for 8 days and then stayed at Turtle Bay Resorts on the North Shore on Oahu for 2 days. It was AMAZING. We were lounge rats! All we did was drive around, discover, lounge on beach after beach, and EAT. I swear I probably gained 10 lbs on that trip, but it was well worth it!!!
Wedding
We got married on October 14, 2006. Here are some pictures! It was BY FAR the best day of my life!!!
