Nursery Ideas

The baby's nursery isn't even started yet, but I wanted to give you an idea of what I am thinking. I made a blanket very similar to this one - only backed with red flannel instead of the baby blue. I loved the print so I decided to base the room off of the bold, bright colors.

We're painting the walls chocolate brown and white stripes. I am thinking the white stripes could be a tad wider than the brown so the room doesn't box you in (since the room is pretty small). I couldn't find a picture of exactly what I am thinking but I found this so you could get the idea of the colors, this pattern has nothing to do with it.

This is the fitted crib sheet I got. It's Babylicious and my sister got it for me from my Amazon registry. I just love the polka dots!

The red bumper goes perfect with the sock monkey and crib sheet - it was another shower gift from my Babies R Us registry.

The diaper stacker we got is from Babies R Us. The green color wasn't so apple green like in this picture, it's a faded lighter version, but I was happy to see that when I got home it still works well with everything.

And of course we had to have the real sock monkey in the nursery! It was a shower gift from my good friend Erika. I also got a bunch of other stuffed animals. I especially love the lion that Shauna, my SIL, got. She bought it at World Market. That's a great store with unique gifts.

I absolutely LOVE this mobile from Bla Bla Kids (below). I love the hand-knitted stuffed animals, maybe that's why I love the sock monkey so much! Bla Bla Kids has the cutest line - especially their pillows (look at the cute doggie pillow) and dolls. Check 'em out! http://www.blablakids.com/
